The President Glenn Fontaine
    A short profile

I was born in Sarnia Township, near Whitman, ND, to the late Isadore and Frieda (Kelley) Fontaine. My Grandmother Hilda Olson came from Namsos, Norway in 1890. Grandfather Charles (Johnson) Kelley came from Sweden in 1880 to Grand Forks.

I married Marie Lewis in 1972. We have two daughters, Sara and Glory, two grandsons, Alexander and Erick, and a granddaughter, Courtney.

My work history

In 1966 I moved to Grand Forks and worked as a desk clerk at the Ryan Hotel for 10 years.
From 1976 to 1994 I worked at UND as a communications specialist, and received the Meritorious Service Award in 1994.
I worked part-time for 25 years in food services for the Grand Forks Public Schools.
I retired in 1994.

I am a member of the GF Senior Center, EGF Senior Center, and United Lutheran Church, where I was a Sunday School teacher.
